When you are interacting with people who have differing mindsets and moods, don’t try to fix their mood. Instead, deescalate the situation by acknowledging how they are feeling, then move on. Validating how they feel doesn’t mean you also have to feel that way.
When we start feeling gratitude, we have a tendency to push away bad feelings and hold onto good feelings. Instead, rather than holding on to the good feelings, feel them in the moment and allow free flow of experiences and emotions. All emotions have functions, we should allow and invite all of them.
People want to address their fears by trying to control others. No matter what you do, someone else is going to think you are doing the wrong thing, so you just need to trust yourself.
