Encourage a building mastery skill with your kids, something that’s not too easy or too hard, ie- learning to play guitar or rock climb, the process increases our baseline of happiness
Give yourself permission to feel and experience your unpleasant feelings, what you resist persists, acknowledge for just a minute then make a conscious choice to dwell on something else, puts you in charge and not the emotion
Telling yourself that you are going through a tough times to help others in the future is valuable to help you get through it
