Mark is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) in Maryland and Washington, DC. He is passionate about helping people—especially adults—work through suffering and pain to experience their own personal breakthroughs.
Mark spent nearly 20 years as a pastor, where he enjoyed pastoral counseling with individuals, couples, parents, and families through the stages of life. He now enjoys bringing a cross-disciplinary experience to the therapy session as a trauma-informed clinical therapist.
He believes in forming a strong therapeutic relationship with his clients – based upon mutual respect, where his clients can feel heard, understood and encouraged for change. Mark has experience working with anxiety, mood and personality disorders, anger management, attachment disorders, addictions, overcoming spiritual abuse, and with spiritually interested individuals, and addressing trauma, self-harm, and suicide ideation. He believes that, through the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) model of acceptance and change, people are able to take control of their own lives and find hope for their future.
Mark earned a Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary in 2004 and a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland in 2022.
He is married with two adult children. He enjoys the outdoors, woodworking, and reading a good book.
