Kristina Amerikaner, LMSW, PMH-C, is a clinical therapist licensed in New Jersey and New York. In her work, Kristina is focused on creating a safe, welcoming space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward the changes they want to see in their lives. As a PMH-C, she has particular expertise in supporting mothers during the postpartum period, helping them navigate the emotional, relational, and identity shifts that inevitably come with new parenthood.

Kristina earned her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University. Previously, she served as a sleep and behavior coach for parents of babies and young children, working with dozens of families to help bring their family dynamic back to a balanced place. It was through her connection with these families that Kristina found her calling to go back to school to formalize her training as a supportive and empathic practitioner.

Kristina is trained in EMDR SAFE (Somatic and Attachment focus) by the Personal Transformation Institute, which emphasizes the importance of a safe and connected environment for effective EMDR therapy. She is also trained in the Gottman Method Level 1 from The Gottman Institute for her work with couples, and is certified as a Perinatal Mental Health clinician by Postpartum Support International.

Kristina is currently accepting new clients and looks forward to connecting with you. She knows it isn’t always easy to reach out for support, but makes it a priority for clients to feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to live the lives they deserve.
