Ellie Dunnigan joined The Counseling Center of MarylandTM as the Practice Administrator in December 2020. She works closely with CCM’s clinicians to determine the best therapeutic fit for new clients, and she enjoys taking on a “matchmaker” role for clients who aren’t sure where to begin. In addition to scheduling new clients, she assists Leah Sugarman, Office Director, in maintaining day-to-day operations for the practice.
Before coming to CCM, Ellie worked as a writer and editor for the US Forest Service. Her early career experiences introduced her to journalism, management consulting, legal assistance, and non-profit administration. She enjoys incorporating lessons from other industries into her current work, and she believes her dynamic background helps her connect with the diverse individuals seeking therapy at CCM. Outside of work, Ellie enjoys researching graduate programs, practicing yoga, and playing guitar. Originally from Northwest Virginia, she returned to the DC area after completing her BA in Philosophy and Economics at Emory University in Atlanta.
Whether you’re coming to CCM with a clear mission or with questions and concerns, Ellie is happy to help you determine the best path forward. If you’re interested in starting therapy, you can reach Ellie using the contact information at the bottom of this page.
